🌱 New EI Pre-seed fund Enterprise Ireland has launched a new stream of funding to support high-growth, early-stage start-up companies. 🔒 Security made simple Tines, a no-code automation platform aimed at security teams, announced today that it raised a $55m Series B round led by Felicis. CEO Eoin Hinchy plans to use the new capital to support the company’s go-to-market and R&D efforts, partnerships outreach and hiring.
The Tines platform allows customers to build automations using a drag-and-drop interface that triggers steps in response to security events like data breaches or changes to a codebase. Tines was founded by Hinchy and Thomas Kinsella in 2018 and was recently listed as one of the next 10 European start-ups soon to reach unicorn status by Sifted.
🎧 Good vibes only Audio-streaming giant Spotify has acquired Kinzen, a Dublin-based company that has helped to identify harmful content on the platform. The acquisition is part of Spotify’s efforts to deal with harmful content on its service.
Kinzen was founded by Mark Little and Áine Kerr in 2017 and aims to enable more precise decisions about misinformation, hateful content, and dangerous movements. They have been working with Spotify since 2020, initially focusing on the integrity of election-related content worldwide.
